Thanks to everyone who participated in the 1st Annual "Dunk your boss" day. The event was a great success, with over 150 people in attendance during the two hour time block.
An informal tally ranks Dan Uetrecht of IT as the most "loved" boss at Missouri S&T. Dan was dunked over 45 times in his ten minute stay in the tank. Three cheers for Dan.
Here is a little pictorial and video proof that some people on this campus are truly "all wet"...thanks again to everyone for being such good sports.
If anyone has pictures they would like to share, please email dewc@mst.edu.

Eight full-time University of Missouri-Rolla employees and one part-time employee were honored Wednesday, May 30, for their contributions to the campus during UMR Staff Recognition Day ceremonies on campus. [more]
Avast me hearties, May 30 is Staff Day at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
This year’s pirate-themed event is designed to recognize the hundreds of support personnel who keep the university running. Festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with an awards ceremony in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center on campus. Nine UMR employees, in five categories, will be honored for their contributions to the campus and will receive a certificate and a $600 check from Chancellor John Carney.
Each year, Staff Day provides an opportunity for UMR staff to celebrate their accomplishments and for administrators to recognize staff’s contributions to campus. As a staff supporter, you can participate in this day by making a donation to Staff Council. This year, UMR Chancellor John F. Carney III has stepped forward to pick up the lunch tab for all current staff members. Your department can also show its support by either underwriting this important event with a donation of at least $100 or by making a donation for the raffle items. Staff day is May 30, so please don’t delay, contact Melissa Folsom at 341-4954 or mfolsom@umr.edu to make arrangements for your contribution.
